2000 Cities Vision

Movement Day Scholars Program

Investing in 2,000 urban practitioners across six continents — equipping the next generation of city gospel movement leaders to transform their cities for the next decade and beyond.

A Word From Our Founder

WHY THIS Initiative?

Dr. Mac Pier

Founder, Movement.org

After 35 years as an urban practitioner, I have witnessed something remarkable — a growing army of motivated Christian leaders, deeply passionate about transforming their cities for the glory of God.

Yet most global efforts remain fragmented — led by motivated individuals or small organizations working in relative isolation. The great challenges of the 21st-century urban landscape demand more. They demand musculature — organizational capacity, shared vision, and strategic depth that only intentional formation can provide.

The Movement Day Scholars Program is our response: a structured, multi-year investment in the practitioners who are already leading city gospel movement expressions around the world.
The Vision

Toward a 2,000 City Vision

The MDSP aims to invest in 2,000 practitioners who are actively leading city gospel movement expressions across the globe. Prospective students are nominated by recognized leaders in gospel movements across six continents, drawing from more than 500 engaged cities.

Nominated Leaders

Each participant is personally nominated by a recognized Movement Day leader — ensuring every cohort is filled with proven, committed practitioners.

Paired City Model

Two practitioners per city participate together, creating a shared experience that multiplies impact and builds lasting local partnership.

Global Reach

Spanning six continents and more than 500 cities, the MDSP is building a truly global network of equipped, connected urban leaders.

A Three-Year Cohort Journey

The Movement Day Scholars Program is designed as a 3-year cohort experience, with each level building on the last — from foundational theology to catalytic city transformation. Each cohort is limited to 125 leaders who commit to the full three-year journey.
